Georgia Scholarships for Children of Injured Workers

When a work-related tragedy changes a family’s future, Kids’ Chance of Georgia provides educational scholarships so children of workers eligible for Georgia workers’ compensation benefits can continue pursuing their educational dreams.

We envision a time when no eligible child is forced to put their education on hold because of a parent’s workplace injury or death.

Our Sponsors Make These Scholarships Possible

Kids’ Chance of Georgia scholarships are funded through the generosity of corporate partners, law firms, insurance professionals, and individual supporters who believe every child deserves the opportunity to pursue higher education.

We are proud to partner with organizations committed to changing lives across Georgia.

TAKE THE FIRST STEP TOWARD YOUR FUTURE

Scholarships For Children Of Injured Georgia Workers

"This program not only gave me financial support, but also gave me my job, my mentor, and moral support.” - Courtney

When a parent suffers a serious or fatal workplace injury, a child’s path to college can suddenly feel uncertain. Kids’ Chance of Georgia provides renewable scholarships to eligible students whose parent or guardian was seriously or fatally injured and eligible for Georgia workers’ compensation benefits, helping them stay focused on their education and future goals.

Students may attend colleges, universities, trade schools, and technical programs anywhere in the United States.

REAL STUDENTS WITH REAL FUTURES

Because of supporters like you, students connected to Georgia workers’ compensation families are continuing their education and building meaningful careers across the country.

Elizabeth Smiley is maintaining a 4.0 GPA at USC after losing her father in the line of duty.

Caylin Ewing is pursuing nursing at Georgia State with dreams of becoming a pediatric trauma.

Trenten Cintron is on track to graduate and begin his professional career despite his father’s catastrophic injury.

EVERY DONATION CHANGES A LIFE

Your Gift Keeps A Student’s Dream Alive

When a parent can no longer work due to a serious job-related injury, higher education can quickly feel out of reach for their children.

Over 700 students have received Kids’ Chance of Georgia scholarships since our founding.

Today, scholarships are awarded at $5,000–$6,000 per academic year to help students pursue higher education and career training opportunities.

Every donation helps fund educational opportunities for students whose families have been impacted by serious workplace injuries or fatalities.

Together, we can ensure that a workplace tragedy does not define a child’s future.
